extensionsableton.live is a community library for Ableton Live Extensions — small tools built with Ableton's Extensions SDK that run alongside Live and can read and reshape your Set.

Anyone can create a free account, upload an extension they've made, and browse and download what others have shared. A free account is required to download, which keeps the library tied to real people and helps us keep things tidy.

What are Extensions?

Extensions are JavaScript tools introduced for Ableton Live 12 Suite. They can transform MIDI, generate patterns, automate repetitive tasks, analyse your Set and connect Live to other services. You install them in Live under Settings → Extensions, then trigger them with a right-click anywhere in your Set. Read more on Ableton's official page ↗.

A word on trust

Extensions are third-party code that runs on your computer. We review every submission before it goes live, but we can't guarantee any extension is safe or bug-free. Always check who made it and, where possible, look at the source before installing. Treat unknown extensions with the same caution as any software you download.
